Adorable Baby Shower Gifts

Beautifully crafted in fine pewter these feeding dish sets are made in America. Available in 5 darling designs for both girls and boys.

Shown at right, a ladybug is snuggled inside a curled leaf on the feeding dish. The matching spoon has a tiny ladybug winding her way up a flower stem.

Also for girls is a pink heart and polka dot set. A sweet baby pink heart is on the dish and spoon, surrounded by tiny polka dots.

Caring for Pearl Jewelry

Pearls are soft gemstones and need special care to maintain their quality and luster. Never store your pearls alongside other hard jewelry such as gemstones or metals. Pearls should be stored in a soft pouch or soft-lined jewelry box.

Pearls need moisture and they can be damaged by dry air. Pearl jewelry should be kept away from heat and sun as they will dry out, turn brown, and may crack.

Pearls do best if worn often. However, contrary to popular belief, the oils from skin are not good for pearls and they will need occasional cleaning. To clean your pearls soak a clean towel in warm water with a mild soap such as Ivory or an all-natural soap. Gently rub your pearls in the towel, then rinse off the soap with another moist (non-soapy) towel.

Never use dish detergent, laundry detergent, baking soda, or any cleaner on pearls. Do not use a toothbrush or other abrasive material as the pearls will be damaged.

After cleaning your pearls, lay them flat in a slightly moist kitchen towel to dry. When the towel is dry, the pearls should be dry too.

After wearing your pearls, wipe them off with a soft cloth (either dry or damp). This will prevent the accumulation of body oils and dirt. Occasionally use a drop of olive oil on the cloth to help maintain the luster of your pearls.

With good care, quality pearls can last for generations. Our high quality pearl baby bracelets can be worn by little ones now and passed on to future little ones!

Flutterbye

The Gingham Grasshopper's newest baby name bracelet is Flutterby; a sweet little design in sterling silver and lead-free birthstones. Two beautiful "Flutterbyes" in flight and a tiny flower dangling from the extender adorn our delightful baby and children's bracelet.

Shown in October's pink tourmaline birthstones, but all 12 birthstones are available. Or just choose the color you like.

Another new bracelet, the Abbey ID bracelet, has quickly become a customer favorite! A dainty oval ID medallion engraved with your child's name has been set on a sterling silver rolo chain and includes an extension.

Dad's especially seem to like this ID bracelet. It is the perfect size for newborns so it makes a great "new baby" gift.

The Abbey ID can be engraved on both the front and the back and a number of different fonts are available.

This is a brand new item at The Gingham Grasshopper. These are little birthstone flower charms with genuine faceted birthstones. They are available in both sterling silver and 14 kt. gold flowers and all twelve birthstones, plus a few alternate birthstones.

These precious little charms can be added to any of our baby bracelets or baby and children's jewelry. They are available in our Jewelry Accessories category, along with other new engravable items.

Jewelry Pouch

Protect your baby bracelets and other baby jewelry with our 100% cotton flannel Jewelry Pouches. These wonderful pouches are completely lined with anti-tarnish fabric inside to protect sterling silver and gold. The soft interiors will also protect engravings and pearls from scratches and damage.

These sweet little pouches are the perfect solution for storing your baby bracelets and baby jewelry while not being worn.

To use, simply hook the clasp of your bracelet or other jewelry and tie loosely to the inner ribbon (as shown). Then slip the jewelry down inside the pocket and close. The Gingham Grasshopper's bracelet pouches will also prevent necklaces from becoming tangled.
