Calling all mothers!
Here is a gift for your kids you probably hadn't thought to give. But I think it is a necessary item. I am amazed at the people who have no idea where the different states are located.
They will certainly be handicapped as adults without this knowledge. Apparently, the schools no longer teach geography and it is up to you to provide this valuable knowledge.
Recently I have had the US postal service contact me that a package I shipped would unfortunately be late arriving at its destination. Alas, after leaving Louisiana, they shipped a package bound for Ohio by way of Colorado! So, yes, I can understand it might be a few days late arriving.
And of course, in order for a package to go from New York to Louisiana, the post office deemed it necessary to send it to Orlando, Florida first! (I hope it had a good time in Disney).
My business is located in Monroe, LA. I have had a number of customers call and ask if they could come by and pick up their order since they live just outside of Los Angeles. They seem to feel I am insulting their driving skills when I tell them it will take them 3 days to get here.
And for those who have asked, "No, Louisiana is NOT in New Orleans"! It is a state, it shares a border with Texas, and "Yes, dear, Texas is also a state."
Mothers, please, you do not want your children to ask silly questions when they are adults! Toys R Us has a United States puzzle-map for just $7.99. You should buy one for your child, and probably an extra for his school!
